I've been reading a lot of comments about not playing in the NIT and not getting a bit to the NCAA tournament and whose to blame? I did a little research and to my surprise VT has only played in 13 NCAA tournaments since they have been playing basketball. 13!!! This is ridiculous and whose to blame? I would say this problem must be the fault of the BOV and the President and has existed for a long time. Someone needs to see this turned around in a hurry similar to the football situation. As I have stated before, changes need to be made and quickly or the ship sinks deeper into the depths of the ocean. This should be embarrassing to ALL HOKIES!!!!

A head coach with experience as a head coach and a winner! A good recruiter and hires coaches with experience.

I have no expectation of winning football games any more. We cannot win on the big stage. I have no expectations if our head coach moving this program forward. I have no expectations of VT doing what is required to be an elite football program in any conference. We are among the walking dead!

I sent him a letter and he never replied but had someone reply. I copied Babcock and he did reply. He totally ignored the fact I had supported Tech for more than 35 years with a high Hokie Club standing. I wasn't impressed that he totally ignored my letter and years of support.

Tech loses last two games.

I missed all of the firs half except the final 2 minutes (had to attend a funeral). Tech was up by 7 points but the team "looked dead." Lifeless on the field and the same ole offense at the end of the first half which carried over after half time. Drones looked lifeless at QB, low energy, on and off the field looking like he was in a daze or something other than having his head in the game. Coaches on the sidelines, especially Pry, looked clueless as usual. Not going to change him or the others. They are, in my opinion, over their heads at this level of college football. I've never seen anything like this with Tech teams even those in the past before the Beamer time frame. Well, to conclude, without going on and on......I'm just about lifeless as a fan and supporter of Tech athletics. We have to face it - our FB team is on "life support" and sadly this is where I am at this moment in time. I feel hopeless and the future looks like doom and gloom to me. I pray I'm wrong but right now I'm just in a low place regarding Tech football.

Reflects where we are today with college athletes. Like everything else in the world it's all about money and with today's generation it's all about them. Fans are the one's getting the short end of it all. We've aways had our heroes or "queens" in sports. Being a fan is costly financially. Going to the games, buying tickets and giving money to the athletic department, etc is a big deal to the fans. The portal doesn't allow us to have heroes or queens we can cheer or consider loyal athletes for our team any longer. Here today and gone tomorrow. This is so frustrating as a fan and for anyone loving their university. This is one reason I've decided to seek other ways to enjoy life. As they say, money is the root of all evil. Supporting college athletics has become a poor investment for the fan. KB should have been the adult in the room and handled his departure like a professional. All of this has been one big mess and could have been avoided. Sadly, GA only sees her side of the story and there's always two sides. Life is short so I won't waste time looking for more athlete heroes or queens.

IF FSU and CLEMSON leave the ACC they will most certainly end up in the SEC. No way they land any place other than the SEC. I don't care what you read or hear from other sources. This is my opinion, of course, but we'll just see.

All of them are chasing the money. This is crazy. I just don't think this can be good for college sports. My interest in it is dying by the day. When college sports is all about me and not the team this is bound to equal failures. Adding to this madness is the fact if the "student athlete" is getting any education few of us will ever see any evidence of it observing the "student athlete". Sad indeed.

There is no way I would be a coach dealing with this portal mess. I'm convinced some coaches have already "left" because of the portal but just won't admit it. This could be the end of the line for many coaches and fans supporting college athletics. Sad situation because I've always been a fan of college athletics. Once a player turned pro I lost my interest and never cared for the NBA and never watch games on tv or have I ever attended an NBA/NFL game. Some say there is no turning back but time will tell on this mess.

Like players today with the portal and NIL we are on track to ruin college athletics. Fans are losing all the way around in this new world of college athletics. Student athletes? Now that's a good laugh. Not any more. All of this mess is really sad for more reasons than I can share with a short message. This is only the beginning of what will happen in the future if VT doesn't get into the SEC or BIG10.
